Case study; Vonsung Architects
Vonsung Architects contacted us for the London Design Festival and threw us a demanding and creative challenge at the Truman Brewery in Brick Lane that demanded a lot of creative scaffolding design work and 18-hour days to be ready on time! We were really pleased with the end result though and fortunately, so was the client;

After much study, we developed a structural system based on MWS' four slender scaffolding columns bundled together with timber beam inserted at mid-height. By following this example, I was trying to achieve something that approached my ideal of wooden architecture. This was neither a problem of form nor a problem of detail. I was not dealing with the silhouette (i.e. form) of the pavilion, but instead my mission was to search for the way materials ought to be - at a natural state.
